I tilted my head slightly, barely dodging the knife. I looked at the tree in front of me, where the knife stayed, silently looking at me.
I did not turn my head, I knew who was behind me... My mentor, the villain. The only person who bothered to look at me after i was betrayed and abandoned by my father.
"Why....." I said, slightly out of breath as we had just finished the fight against the hero, the one I detested the most.
"Do you remember what I first told you when I took you under my wing?" He asked, still standing behind me, out of my sight. I recalled the very words he spoke years ago. Maybe coincidentally, we said at the same time, "Don't trust anyone."
I was not sure how it started, or how it'll end.
I was now facing my mentor with my sword in hand, as another battle began.
